In autumn 2006, Wentus Blues Band brought friends and blues legends from around the world together on the same stage. The guests included Mick Taylor, Louisiana Red, Lazy Lester, Kim Wilson and Barrence Whitfield. The concerts later became the basis for the documentary film Family Meeting.
In October 2026, the story continues.
Wentus Blues Band will be joined by Kim Wilson (The Fabulous Thunderbirds), Barrence Whitfield and Knut Reiersrud. Wilson and Whitfield return to Family Meeting after two decades, while Reiersrud joins the gathering as a new guest.
Two nights of blues, roots music, spontaneous musical encounters and a dialogue shaped by decades of friendship and shared music.
