FAMILY MEETING USPREMIERE IN CHICAGO
The Jussi – and Venla – awardnominated FAMILY MEETING will have its US-Premiere on the CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL MOVIES AND MUSIC FESTIVAL Chicago, Illinois – USA March 5 to 8, 2009
The CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL MOVIES AND MUSIC FESTIVAL (CIMMFest) heats up both the Chicago film and music scenes by spotlighting innovative filmmakers whose work bridges the world of music and movies.
CIMMFest 2009 will consist of four days of screenings, panel discussions, workshops, and other programs bringing together professionals and devotees from across the globe to entertain and educate. Premieres by new and established film and video directors, as well as retrospectives, classic films and videos will fill the days; genre-bending musical performances will rule the nights, at participating venues around the great music and film town that is Chicago.
The Festival’s jury is made up of celebrated musicians, filmmakers, and writers from around the world. Special guest and juror Lech Kowalski will screen EAST OF PARADISE, scenes from his latest project, and a rare look at his exclusive footage of The Ramones. The first-ever retrospective of the music video work of Encyclopedia Pictura, and many other exciting programs will make CIMMfest an exciting addition to the festival circuit.
FAMILY MEETING will compete in the “Documentary feature” – Category on Sunday March 8th at the Chicago Cultural Center.
